Before You Judge

In my opinion, we are not critical enough of the large players in our society, the ones with the biggest impact on our society and the world. By this I mean entities like the government and media. We wake up everyday to a world that was created by Them yet we don’t really hold Them accountable. Corporations fall in this category as well. The AmeriKKKan government creates laws giving corporations relative immunity ranging from laws allowing banks to siphon away our money (2008 Financial Crisis) to subjecting children to delicious but addictive and toxic so-called foods (public school vending machines) to actual legal immunity for pHarmaceutical companies (vaxxine liability immunity) and don’t forget about police immunity.
Whenever the public does decide to hurl judgement toward the government it is usually misguided. It is usually the result of some narrative pushed by the media to keep the public in a daze. CNN will cycle Trump soundbites and make you think that he alone is the problem with the country. It is important to note one thing: THIS COUNTRY WAS SHIT BEFORE TRUMP STEPPED ONTO THE POLITICAL STAGE. He’s merely a scapegoat but “getting him out of office” seems like a victory and so the criticism dies down. The systems that are in place, keeping people impoverished and in a constant cycle of debt are much more harmful than any tweet that he can send. Our judgement is so easily controlled and swayed from one thing to the next so that we never examine real issues plaguing the country.
We’re so quick to judge each other, but are silent when the government commits atrocities across the world, mainstream media passes off perspective as absolute truth or when a food additive/household product that was once labeled safe is found to be quite harmful. It’s like we don’t see the implications from these large entities never being held accountable for their actions. Judging others makes people feel good, but aiming that judgement in the right direction might affect REAL change. Next time you think about judging a person, ask yourself “when was the last time I passed judgement on those running the society I live in?”
Merely judging isn’t enough, but it’s a start. It’s a start to changing the way we look at these entities. They operate in opposition to the public, but until we see it that way we’ll keep putting our faith in Them. Many of the problems we see are the result of two things: a government uninterested in ensuring the well being of its citizenry like we supposedly pay them to do and useless media corporations keeping you in the dark about it.
