The Function of the Mainstream Media

Most people hold the position that the mainstream news is here to inform us of the world around us. This isn’t necessarily false, but this view doesn’t accurately capture the full role that they play. If you’re paying attention, you’ll come across news stories that you won’t see in the mainstream media, but is no less news worthy (like how 20% of money in existence was printed last year!). Why is it that the mainstream media only reports some news stories? Why do they play and replay certain stories more than others?

When you start to take a critical eye to the media you’ll soon see that there’s usually an agenda behind their reporting. Take the Wallstreet Bets/GameStop/Robinhood saga that transpired recently. Robinhood stopped trading on GameStop stock because the wealthy hedge funds had to sell their short positions due supposedly to traders from the social media group Wallastreet Bets running the price up. Since then, talks about decentralization have been popping up all over the place. Was this orchestrated? The Virus situation is another example. When the virus was first reported, nobody in AmeriKKKa really cared. Then when the news decides it was important, everybody began to care. On top of that, the narrative was all the same: A virus from China, wear your masks, social distance, etc. all the news outlets gave THE SAME PERSPECTIVE.

This was not accidental. All big news stories follow the same path. All of the mainstream outlets tell the same story and they parrot the same buzzwords. How many times has the phrase “new normal” or “Great Reset” been uttered in the media? When you step back and take a wider view of the stream of “information” fed to us you’ll notice the patterns. When the media wants to report on a shooting by police, they all do it. When they want to speak negatively or positively about Bitcoin, they all do it. When they want to highlight virus cases “surging” THEY ALL DO IT!

It’s clear that while they don’t necessarily lie, they only show us what they want us to see. Part of their objective is to CONTROL THE PERCEPTION OF THE PUBLIC. Perception is reality so They create our world for us in this sense. I’m not saying totally ignore the mainstream news but realize what They are trying to do. Realize that when you see a story constantly being run through the news cycle IT IS A DISTRACTION.

Stocks are controlled by algorithms and the FED controls the stock market, it’s rigged. When They tell us to hate somebody (by virtue of running negative news stories about them) consider factors like personal vendettas or financial gain on the part of those who control the media. Think deeper than the surface when ingesting these stories.

When you see a story you’re interested in, do an internet search of it and see if alternative outlets corroborate the story. I highly suggest using DuckDuckGo rather than Google as they are apart of the problem. If you only get your news from mainstream, you’re only getting ONE perspective. Don’t allow 6 corporations to dictate what/how you think. Take in information from multiple different sources, compare and contrast and decide for yourself which perspective is best. Take back control of your thoughts and how you form opinions. The last thing we need in this world is a population of mainstream media drones.
